Group Expansion Service Prerequisites

The Group Expansion Service potentially requires knowledge of or connection to other services and connectors in the Aspire installation:

  • If you want group expansion to include LDAP groups, or you wish to use the LDAP proxy functionality (especially when using Group Expansion with the GSA) you need to install the LDAP Cache Service first.
If you want group expansion requests to be sent to connectors in order to combine groups from multiple connectors, install the relevant connectors first.It is not mandatory to do this, but you can only finish the configuration of the Group Expansion Service after the connectors are installed.
