Database Versions Supported

The RDB connector via Snapshots requires JDBC4 drivers and supports any database for which these drivers are available. Search Technologies does not produce nor supply database drivers - you should try your database vendor's web site.

Windows or Linux

The Aspire RDB connector via Snapshots can run on either Windows or Linux. However, you should check that the appropriate drivers for your database vendor are available for use on your desired platform

Database User Account Requirements

The permissions required by your database user depend on the SQL statements you write to extract data from your database. Typically however, the database user only needs to be able to read data tables.

Update, table, function and stored procedure creation permissions are not generally required

NOTE: the database account permissions differ between this connector and the RDB with Incremental via Table connector.
