Prior to Using the Google Cloud Search Publisher

Complete the following steps in order to be able to publish to Google Cloud Search:

  1. Set up a subscription with Google for Google Cloud Search : either the Google Cloud Search  Standalone or G-Suite Enterprise edition.
  2. Enable access to the Google Cloud Search API.
  3. Generate a credentials file https://developers.google.com/cloud-search/docs/guides/project-setup?authuser=1
  4. Establish a mechanism to sync the ingested content repositories' users and groups to Google Cloud Identity – e.g. Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS)

User Account Requirements 

API Key

In order to access Publish to Google Cloud Search, an API Key from the xxxx must be provided.

To obtain the API Key:

  1. Step.

Windows or Linux

The Publish to Google Cloud Search publisher runs on either Windows or Linux.

Environment Requirements 

Prior to using the Google Cloud Search publisher, the index needs to exist with the required schema (containing all fields).
