Can the

StageR Plugin ingest documents without security information

(such as ACLs)?

Such as ACLS

Yes, just set the claimsIssuer field in the configuration to 'public'. Otherwise, you'll need the Security Pre-trimmer in order to view any non-public documents in the search results.



What kind of certificate files does the plugin support?

The plugin needs .p12 files to work. Nothing else is supported at this moment.

Can the

StageR Plugin run against a load balanced

Yes, but make sure all of the instances of the STageR StageR have the plugin's Content Processing module file (SharePointBCSMapping.js) in their processing_modules directory. The file can be located in the \deploy\resources directory.

For this specific case, the user needs to have full Object permissions over the BDC Model, the External Content Type and the External System.  Metadata Store Permissions are needed as well.

Both sets of permissions can be configured from Central Administration → Application Management → Manage Service Applications → Business Data Connectivity Service

For each element in the toolbar's dropdown (Externa Content Types, BDC Models and External Systems) select both Set Object Permissions and Set Metadata Store Permissions and configure the user that executes the crawls.
