Introducing Content Sources

The content sources in Aspire are the units that you can install in order to retrieve and process content from a repository. A content source consists of two main parts:

  • The Connector - The connector is the responsible of scanning and fetching the content and metadata from the repository. We provide a large list of connector which you can acquire and install along with your content sources.
  • The Workflow - The workflow is the configurable processing part that consists of plans, rules and applications.

Each content source can be configured to execute actions in a scheduled manner. For example, you can specify a content source to start crawling every day at 6 pm and pause every day at 7 am.
