This section describes the Configuration for Credentials used by the Salesforce Connection.

Step 1. Open the Aspire Admin UI.

Browse to the Aspire Admin UI. It is typically located at http://localhost:50505.

Step 2. Select the Credentials option from the left-hand menu.

The “Credentials” option, identified by a “key” image, is located on the left side of the application, between the “Workflows” and “Connections” options. Click on it to navigate to the “Credentials” page.

Step 3. Specify Credential Description and Type.

Once on the “Credentials” page, click on the “+New” option to create a new Credential or select an existing one to modify it.

  • Description: specify a description for the Credential. It is advised for it to be concise and meaningful.
  • Type: select “Salesforce” as the type for the Credential.

Step 4. Specify Credential General information.

Once the type has been selected, you will be presented with the “General” section of the “Credentials” page. Here, you need to enter the following information for the Credential:

  • Username: Specify the username for the Credential.
  • Password: Specify the password for the Credential.
  • Security Token: Specify the security token created by the Salesforce for the specified user account.
  • Consumer Key: Specify the consumer key given by the Salesforce application
  • Consumer Secret: Specify the consumer key given by the Salesforce application

Step 5. Specify a Throttling Policy (Optional).

On the “Policies” section of the “Credentials”, you have the option to specify a previously defined throttling policy for the connections using this credential: just select the desired policy from the list of available policies.

Step 6. Save the Credential.

Click on the “Complete” button to save the new Credential (when updating, the button option will read “Save” instead of “Complete”).
