FTP Connector Developer Information
The FTP connector uses the Apache Commons library (see here) to connect to the FTP server.
It performs a recursive scan, although this can be turned off if required. Change information is kept in a snapshot file, meaning that even incremental scans will crawl all items under the start directory, although only changed items will be published as Aspire jobs.
Published jobs are optionally passed through the Apache Tika text extraction stage and passed through normal connector workflow stages.
