Aspire 2.1 introduced the ability to add and configure services through the Administration UI. In previous Aspire versions these were components that required file based configuration.
In Aspire 2.2, additional features were added to Administration workflow support such that a single solution component comprised of a series of sub-components with preset configuration and an overall workflow logic could be loaded.
- OCR Solution - provides a single installable component to process images already stored in the Aspire Staging Repository, perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition)and loading the derived text back in the Staging Repository. The typical use would be to publish that text to a search engine, thus supporting search of words represented in image file documents.
- Semantic Co-occurrence Solution- provides a single installable component to create metadata support a semantic search solution. Wikipedia, Wikilinks, DBpedia and custom phrase resources are used to identify phrases for semantic co-occurrence.
