LDAP Cache Service Prerequisites

In order to use the LDAP cache you will need:

• Install Group Expansion Manager Service first
• The server name/ip address and port of your LDAP or Active Directory server
• A user/password combination that is able to login to that server
  • The account must be able to query to return all users/groups

You'll also need to know:

• An LDAP query to return all users you wish to cache
• An LDAP query to return all groups you wish to cache
• Whether the installation stores group membership with users, or whether groups hold references to the users that are members
• The name of the ldap attribute that stores the group membership
